Pro Kabaddi: Puneri Paltan becomes first team to qualify for Semi-Finals of PKL9
Puneri paltan has done it in PKL9. They become the first team to qualify for the Semi finals after beating Patna Pirates in their 21st match of the season.
The Puneri Paltan has been a team to beat in the whole of PKL 9. They have a strong team filled with enthusiastic youngster and a season campaigner.
Hence it doesn’t come as a surprise that they become the first team to qualify for semifinals.
Although if they will remain as the table toppers or not in the league stage remains to be seen. This is because Jaipur Pink Panthers have matched them shoulder to shoulder in PKL9.
Before the game between Paltan and Pirates, both the teams had played 20 games each. And from them games they had 74 points too.
Jaipur although will have an edge over Puneri Paltan. Since they have a better point difference, they are more likely to stay on top of the group, given that both teams win their remaining games.
Puneri Paltan thrash Patna Pirates 44-30
Coming to the game between Puneri Paltan and Patna Pirates, it was a no contest at all. The last meeting between these two teams had been a tie. Hence, everyone expected for a tight contest.
But Patna simply failed to turn up in this game. Even when a place in the playoffs was on the line. The only two players who got going for them were Sachin Tanwar and Shadloui.
As a result, Puneri Paltan defeated them 44-30.
After this loss, Patna are technically out of the playoffs. The only glimmering hope that they have is now resting on Delhi’s match tomorrow. If Naveen Kumar’s Dabang Delhi wins their game tomorrow, Patna will be officially out of the race.
The playoffs of PKL9 will be played from 13th December onwards.
