Lizelle Lee, born on April 2, 1992, is a prominent South African cricketer. She is known for her excellent batting in different formats, both national and international. She notably presented Western Storm and Surrey Stars in the Women’s Cricket Super League. Lizelle also contributed in multiple teams like Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades, and Hobart Hurricanes in the Women’s Big Bash League.
Biography
Hailing from Transvaal, South Africa, Lizelle studied at North West University. During her studies, Lizelle also participated in various sports competitions, representing North West in South Africa. While playing the matches, she developed a keen interest and reputation in the batting force. Lizelle hit 169 runs off 84 balls, not out against Mpumalanga in a T20 match.
Lizelle’s cricketing journey started with Western Storm in the English Women’s Cricket Super League. She played a pivotal role in Surrey Stars’ victory in the 2018 Women’s Cricket Super League final, scoring 104 runs off 58 balls. Lee’s excellence was highlighted in her debut match of the 2018-19 WBBL season, scoring 102 runs.

Lizelle started her national cricket journey in 2013 and was awarded a national contract by Cricket South Africa in March 2018. Lee made her international debut at the young age of 21. Lee also represented South Africa in major tournaments like the ICC Women’s World Twety20 in 2018 and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2020. She scored her first T20 century against Thailand.
