Mohammadreza Shadloui has made a comeback to form in the PKL 9. After having a slow start, he is rearing to go and an example of the same came in the final game of triple panga night.
It was the third encounter of Rivalry Week, where Patna Pirates met Jaipur Pink Panthers. The match was supposed to be a high intensity affair and that is how it turned out to be.
And one of the biggest reason behind it was Mohammad Chiaaneh Shadloui.
Another high five for Mohammadreza Shadloui in PKL 9
The Iranian defender was in the best form of his season. And he showcased the same by picking up yet another high five, his second for the season.
Both the teams ha a cagy start to the game. neither of them did anything reckless to lose points in bunches. Yet, it was Patna Pirates who was able to take an early lead after inflicting an all out in the first half of the match.
Arjun Deshwal was the sole raider for Jaipur Pink Panthers who was able to get points. While no other raider could even muster a single bonus, Deshwal picked up 7-8 points.
He had a great match up against Mohammadreza Shadloui. Deshwal managed to draw the first blood. But Shadloui came back to strong to dispatch the raider three times in the game.
While there was no support for Arjun in Jaipur’s team, Patna had two raiders at their prime. The duo of Sachin and Rohit did wonders for their team.
Together they managed to score 17 points for Patna Pirates. Rohit was the pick of the raiders with 9 points, and Sachin supported him with 8 points.
A lack of support up front in raiding and some lousy defending costed Jaipur the match. They lost the game to a determined looking Patna Pirates by a margin of 7 points.
With this victory Patna Pirates remain 5th on the table but they seem to be a force to reckon.
This was their fifth victory on the bounce and seventh unbeaten game. Hence, they are emerging as a force to reckon for sure.
