Pro Kabaddi: Maninder Singh scores 20 points in Bengal Warriors’ victory over Gujarat Giants by 45-40

Maninder Singh has become a household name in the Pro Kabaddi League. And once again he has show why he is one of the best raiders in the PKL 9.

He picked up 20 points in a single game to help his side register a 5-point victory over the Gujarat Giants.

The game didn’t start in Bengal Warriors favour as Gujarat had the early lead on the game. But courtesy to some great defending and phenomenal raiding by Maninder Singh, Bengal made a comeback.

They inflicted an all out on Gujarat Giants in just 11 minutes into the first half. And another with 5 minutes on the clock.

Mighty Maninder Strikes again to score 20 points

Gujarat couldn’t recover from the damage done in the first half and the sides changed with Bengal Warriors leading the game 32-18.

Maninder was the biggest reason behind Bengal’s great lead. He scored 11 points from 12 raids in the first half itself. The carnage continued in the second half as well and eventually gave Bengal a victory.

Gujarat Giants were not that far off from clinching the victory either. Some great raiding and defending saw the Ram Maher Singh coached side inflict 2 all outs in Bengal Warriors.

Prateek Dahiya was the pick of the raiders for his team. He scored 13 points for his team, in which 11 points came in raiding. While a solitary point came in tackling.

This brought his team inch closer to clinching the victory.

But as has been the case in several games, defense was the difference between the two teams.

Bengal Warriors clinched 11 points in defense in comparison to 6 of Gujarat. Hence, they managed to win the game by 5 points.

Maninder Singh was adjudged as the player of the match for his stupendous performance in the game.
