Ever since Rohit Sharma has become the captain of Indian team comparisons have become a norm. And considering that he is all set to lead India into the knockout stages of T20 World Cup, the comparisons to the likes of Dhoni and Kapil Dev are eminent.
One such incident took in an event in Tamil Nadu where Roger Binny was asked to compare Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni. To this the newly appointed BCCI President gave a very diplomatic reply.

“Rohit is an experienced player. He has played so many matches and been in so many situations. Everyone has a different approach. Dhoni is totally different, you can’t compare him, Kapil or Gavaskar. Each one has a different way of how they operate,” he said.
Rohit Sharma become the Captain of Indian Cricket team across all formats after Kohli stepped down in 2021-22 season. And ever since he took the helm India has been on a winning spree.
India came into the ongoing World Cup on the back of an undefeated streak of T20I bilateral series. Although they were knocked out of the Asia Cup in a bizarre fashion, they come into the tournament as hot favorite.
Under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy they have made great inroads by defeating Pakistan, Netherlands, and Bangladesh. They now stand one victory away from sealing a spot in the semi-finals.
India will play their final group stage against Zimbabwe on 6th of November.
