James Rodriguez Joins Olympiacos on loan from AL Rayyan in search for European Glory; Know Contract Details
Columbian Star James Rodriguez is set to sign for Olympiacos on a loan deal after loads of transfer speculation in the summer transfer window.
James Rodriguez’s Transfer
The Ex-Real Madrid midfielder was linked to ample of clubs this season like Galatasaray and Valencia on a loan deal, the Puskas winner had reportedly gone out of radar for the footballing world since leaving European football. The Ex- Bayern player represents the Qatar side Al-Rayyan which he joined after leaving the toffees in 2021. James was then available for a move to the Greek side on a free since the end of august . The Columbian would make his return to European football with the Greek side. Olympiacos were active in the transfer window as they signed Real Madrid’s left back Marcelo who has proved to be a winner over the years, James would be looking forward to reuniting with his teammate Marcelo.
Why was the Transfer able to all the way?
The transfer was able to go all the way as the window for top European clubs have closed. The Superleague giants are hopeful to get the deal over the line within the next few hours, the transfer could take place as the market in Greece will close on Thursday ,15th September.

The 31 year old is set to join the Greek side Olympiacos as the deal is going to be completed, the Columbian Star will fly to Greece today itself in order to undergo medical tests as a new Olympiacos player. There is an agreement over the loan deal from Al Rayyan to Olympiacos, the transfer window in Greece closes on Thursday and so the Marinakis family wants to complete one more top notch deal for Olympiacos. James will join the club with an option to buy included at 3 million euros. The Greek side is said to pay the Ex- Everton star 1.7 million salary annually and AL Rayan will be covering the remaining 3.5 million from his contract. An official announcement from Olympiacos is expected later today.

The puskas winner had made up his mind to get a transfer and play for a European club as in an interview he spoke” If Valencia calls me, I will even walk from Qatar.I would take a pay cut, If they need someone to assist Edinson Cavani, I’ll be there. They are a great club with great fans”. The 31 year old clearly wanted European football by hook or crook . Rodriguez was also in talks with Galatasaray but they chose to Juan Mata instead.
