Radu Dragusin: Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspurs secure services of Romanian defensive stalwart, sides German champions Bayern Munich

Tottenham Hotspurs have finally been able to bring on deck seasoned Romanian defensive giant Radu Dragusin from Italian heavyweights Genoa, as the Premier League heavyweights have toppled Bayern Munich in securing his services. With Dragusin’s addition, Ange Postecoglou’s men would look to bolster their defensive ranks after rumors of Eric Dier leaving England had surfaced few weeks ago.

Radu Dragusin- the name might be a bit new in the English football circuit, but the tall, well built and agile Romanian is already etching his name among the history books in the Italian ranks. A regular starter for Italian Serie A side Genoa, Dragusin has showcased his meteoric rise in one of the football leagues, where defense is considered to be one of the major criteria to become a football player. He had made himself one of the sought-after stars in Serie A, as several heavyweight teams are looking to secure his services. But, we do not have to look for more, as Dragusin seems to have found his new home, with Premier League heavyweights Tottenham Hotspurs confirmed to bring him on deck. According to latest reports, Dragusin has set his foot on the plane to London, as his medical is slated for Wednesday afternoon.

Battle between Bayern and Tottenham

With his meteoric rise at the backyards of Italy, Dragusin has been on the radar for several top clubs. Ahead of his move to Spurs, he was linked to German champions Bayern Munich, who had attempted to hijack his deal from the Premier League side. As a result, Spurs have reached an agreement with the Romanian for a reported fee of 30 million euros, with Bayern setting an advanced target fee of 31 million euros, leaving Radu on the splits to think about his future destination. Thankfully, for Ange Postecoglou, Radu has chosen Spurs, thus strengthening his defense.

Dragusin has racked up some exceptional numbers for his side this season, as he ranks first in the number of games played, and has exceptional record in the air, ranking third in aerial duels. He possess exuberant ability to go for the kill with his headed shots using his tall stature, ranking on ninth spot.

Although employed at back three by Genoa boss, he has showcased exceptional ability to play across the line, and Ange would be more than happy to get him with his side, ahead of Premier League action in the upcoming days.
