Rohit Sharma has been on a record-breaking spree. And he has another record to his name to show for it. Earlier in the first T20I between India and West Indies, Rohit had gone past 3399 T20I runs with a fifty. And hence was crowned the title of the most run scorer in T20I, a title previously held by Martin Guptill.

This time he has taken over his compatriot Virat Kohli to smash most sixes as Indian captain in the shortest format.

In his short inning of 5 balls, where he managed to score only 11 runs, Sharma broke the record. He pulled his fellow Mumbai Indians teammate Alzarri Joseph for a six to make this record his own. However, a few balls later, Rohit had to retire after suffering an injury.

Talking about the niggle during the post-match presentation, Rohit said, “it’s okay at the moment. We’ve got a few days till the next game; hopefully, it should be okay.”

Only last week, Sharma broke the record of most fifties by Indian batters in T20Is. That record also belonged to Virat Kohli.

Now his eyes are set on continuing the winning form as a captain and clenching another series victory over West Indies.
