Pro Kabaddi: Narender Kandola’s super 10 helps Tamil Thalivas reach Playoffs for first time

From having a torrid start to their campaign to making it to the Play Offs of PKL 9, Tamil Thalivas have perhaps seen it all.

And the credit to this performance of theirs goes to none other than their star raider Narender Kandola. The young raider, barely 19, broke into the scene and took the opportunity he was presented by the injury to Pawan Sehrawat.

Narender was quick off the blocks for Tamil Thalivas. It was his great raiding skills in the absence of Pawan Sehrawat that helped them regain confidence.

Also, the performance of young Narender rubbed on other youngsters in the team as well. Players like Ajinkya Pawar Kumar, Himashu Singh and Sagar also stood up for their team.

As a result, Tamil Thalivas now have a place in the Playoffs of Pro Kabaddi league. It was something that they had come close to doing in the previous 8 seasons. But it is finally here in the PKL9.

Dominating performance by Thalivas to subdue Yoddhas

Coming to the match against UP Yoddhas, Narender &co. put up a great show against a weak UP side. The coach of UP Yoddhas had rested several key players. Having already qualified for the Playoffs they had the luxury to do that.

However, the deal was not done for Thalivas before this game. they required to pick one point from this match at least to seal their spot. Hence, they went for the kill by fielding their best 7 on the mat. And it definitely paid off.

In raiding it was Narender Kandola along with Ajinkya Pawar Kumar who brought points galore. Narender scored a super 10 in the game, his 17th of the season. While Ajinkya Pawar Kumar missed his by a solitary point.

In defense Arpit Saroha, Himanshu and M. Abhishek stepped up to accumulate a total of 9 points within themselves. UP on the other hand failed in all departments.

Hence, Tamil Thalivas emerged victorious by a margin of 15 points as they defeated UP Yoddas 43-28.
