Pro Kabaddi: Mohammadreza Chiyaneh Shadloui completes first high-five of PKL 9; Patna Pirates continue their unbeaten run

Patna Pirates have returned to their normal self. They have now won six matches on the bounce. And the biggest reason behind their comeback this season is Mohammadreza Chiyaneh Shadloui.

The Iranian has been a massive impact on the team ever since his debut for Patna Pirates. And now Mohammadreza Chiyaneh Shadloui has scored another high five to showcase his class.

Mohammadreza Chiyaneh Shadloui scored his first high five of the 9th seasons. That too in a match when it mattered the most.

The high five came against Haryana Stealers when his team was struggling to gain traction against their opponent. But his performance changed the dimension go the game in Patna’s favour.

Mohammadreza Chiyaneh Shadloui scored a total of 6 tackle points in the game. This resulted in Patna Pirates’ empathic victory over Haryana Steelers by 9 points.

Last year Mohammadreza Chiyaneh Shadloui became the first defender in the history of PKL to score 10 high five in a single season.

Patna Pirates continue their winning run in PKL 9

The match was not as straight forward as it seems to be at fulltime. It was a very cagy affair to begin with as both the teams took a careful approach.

Since a victory would have ensure both of them a place in the top half of the table, both teams were not willing to make silly mistakes to lose sight of the victory.

This resulted in a very slow start by both the team. However, things started changing towards the halfway mark of the game. Patna Pirates’ defence came to life and were ahead at the halftime.

The tides turned in their favour in the second half as they inflicted two all outs on Haryana Steelers in quick successions. Although the Steelers made a comeback and managed to reduce the deficit to 3 points, Sachin denied them the chance to go take a lead.

Mohammadreza Chiyaneh Shadloui’s amazing performance clubbed with that of Sachin Tanwar helped Patna take a comfortable lead towards the dying ambers.

The in form raider smashed another super 10. He scored a total of 13 points in the game to become the highest scorer on the mat.

As a result of their collective performance, they won the game by 41-32.

With this victory, Patna Pirates moved up to the sixth position on the table.
