Fazel Atrachali created history on Wednesday at the Shree Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex. The Iranian became the first defender in the history of Pro kabaddi to accumulate 400 Tackle points.
Fazel completed this feat in a tight encounter against Tamil Thalivas on the last day of his home leg. With his amazing defense at the back his team was able to register a win by 35-34.
He now has a total of 403 points to his name from just 135 appearances.
The Puneri Paltan captain had a field day against Tamil Thalivas. He not only completed his most awaited 400 tackle points but also registered his 3rd High five of the season.
It was a masterclass in defense that Fazel Atrachali showcased against Thalivas. He now has a total of 34 points to his name in just 10 games.
Fazel’s high five helps Paltan beat Thalaivas
The match between Tamil Thalivas and Puneri Paltan was very intense indeed. Both the teams were unrelenting and one can say that just by looking at the score board.
A solitary point became the decisive factor between the two teams as Paltan defeated Thalivas by 35-34.
It was Tamil Thalivas who held the aces for most part of the game. But Puneri Paltan made a comeback owing to some great work in raiding by Akash Shinde and Aslam Inamdar.
They were backed by their defense in which Fazel along with Mohit Goyat, Sanket, and Sombir picked up 12 points.
A complete team performance for the Puneri Paltan helped them over the line. They now sit at top of the table with 43 points to their name from 12 games.
