“I Want Lionel Messi Crying,” Mocks Ex-Brazil Player Fred Over 2022 World Cup

The former Brazilian forward player, Fred, has stated in a bizarre way that he wants his country, Brazil, to face Argentina in the 2022 FIFA World Cup semi-final, only so he could the Argentine captain Lionel Messi “cry.”

Brazil is currently clashing with Croatia in their quarterfinal battle, in case they successfully register a victory. They would likely be going head-on against Messi-led Argentina, who play against the Netherlands later today.

Brazil is the global fan favorite to win the 2022 edition of the World Cup being played in Qatar and is expected to hoist the Cup on 18th December in the Lusail Stadium.

However, Brazil’s road to the finals is not that easy after the group stages and round of 16 anymore; in case they register a win against Croatia today, they most likely are facing Messi’s Argentina, who, even after losing their inaugural match against Saudi Arabia made a remarkable comeback, in the semi-finals.

In their victories later into the group stages, Lionel Messi has been one of the crucial points in those victories. He scored a total of three goals in the tournament till now.

However, the ex-Brazilian frontman, Fred, has expressed his eagerness to witness the Argentine captain and legend, Messi, “cry” in the semi-finals in case Brazil ends up facing off Argentina.

“I want the Brazil-Argentina semi-final. I want confusion, turmoil, Neymar’s pen, Messi crying,” he told the sources.

Whatever the case, Brazil and Argentina will first have to win their quarterfinal matches; Brazil will have to thrash Croatia, and Argentina will have to get past the Dutch. It would be a fascinating semi-final to yearn for in case Neymar and Messi end up facing off against each other.
