N’Golo Kante to FC Barcelona: Catalans forerunners to sign Chelsea’s midfielder next season
According to widespread reports in the Spanish media, FC Barcelona are closing on a deal to sign the Chelsea midfielder N Golo Kante on a free transfer in the summer transfer window of 2023.
Free transfers have been the latest trend at Barca in recent windows, cause of their never-ending financial issue and this time out it seems like the Frenchman may be their latest signing for free after they signed Eric Garcia, Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen last summer.

Kante has barely played for his club this season due to a hamstring injury and is still currently out for more than 3 months. But the footballing world knows that Kante keeps himself fit very well and it is very likely that the Barca legend Sergio Busquets would finally leave this summer for MLS.
Xavi really likes the french midfielder who is considered as the direct replacement for Busquets. Everything has been progressing gradually and the deal could be finalised in January so that the Chelsea legend gets a proper farewell before he leaves.
But Barça will only sign him as long as there are no physical injury concerns for the future or present as, due to his play style, the Frenchman needs to be at one hundred per cent to perform well and he’ll be demanding very high wages as well.
