IPL 2023: Mumbai Indians (MI) likely to release Kieron Pollard Ahead of Mini-Auction

Just before IPL 2023 mini-auction, the Mumbai Indians opted to break company with long-serving Kieron Pollard.

Mumbai Indians, the most successful franchise in the Indian Premier League, had a disastrous season in IPL 2022, becoming the first club to be eliminated from the league after winning only four games.

The Mumbai Indians have always been known for their support of their players, but now is the time for them to let some of their major names go ahead of the IPL mini-auction 2023, which is scheduled to take place in December.

According to Inside Sport, the five-time winners Mumbai Indians have moved to release long-serving all-rounder Kieron Pollard, as well as English pacer Tymal Mills, Fabian Allen, and Mayank Markande.

The IPL 2023 mini-auction is set to take place on December 23 in Kochi. The BCCI had already requested that all 10 franchises provide a list of their retained and released players by November 15.

The Trinidadian all-rounder had a miserable IPL season in 2022, scoring 144 runs in 11 games with the best score of 25. In the process, he took four wickets but was eventually dropped.
