Cristiano Ronaldo spotted with infamous psychologist Jordan Peterson; internet claim striker suffering depression

Cristiano Ronaldo is once again in the news, but this time it’s not something he did on the field. The Manchester United and Portuguese forward is being called out for meeting the controversial psychologist Jordan Peterson.

The 36-year-old shared a post on his Instagram in which he can be seen with Peterson. And he had captioned the post as “Nice to see you my friend #seeyousoon.”

Following these numerous theories emerged on the internet regarding Ronaldo. Some of them included Ronaldo being in depression after he couldn’t secure a move out of Manchester.

Ronaldo is also referred as Mr. Champions League. Hence, when Manchester United couldn’t qualify for UCL, several media outlets reported that Ronaldo wanted out.

However, the move couldn’t go through. And it was ahead one of the Europa League fixtures of Manchester United, that Ronaldo was spotted with Peterson.

Jordan Peterson reveals reason behind Ronaldo’s visit

Marca was the loudest of these outlets to claim that Ronaldo was suffering from clinical depression.

Peterson has claimed otherwise though.

Speaking on the talkshow, “Pierce Morgan uncencored,” Peterson said, “He invited me to come and see him. He’d had some trouble in his life a few months ago and a friend of his sent him some of my videos and he said he’d watched those. Then he read one of my books and found it helpful, he wanted to talk.”

Peterson added that they mostly talked about some obstacle that Ronaldo is facing in his life. Along with certain things that he wanted in the future.

Ronaldo has not had the best start to the 2022/23 campaign. While playing for Manchester United, he had been benched on most occasions by Erik Ten Haag.

And the time he has spent on the field hasn’t been much fruitful either. He has scored just 1 goal in the eight outings in the colors of the Red Devils.

The 5-time Ballon d’Or winner will be hoping to turn his form around in the upcoming games.

He will be next seen in action in Manchester derby played on upcoming Sunday.
