The Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant has taken a dig at Urvashi Rautela for revealing a story from their past to the media.

If rumours and the internet are to be believed, Rishabh Pant and Urvashi Rautela dated each other back in 2018. They were often photographed together by the paparazzi.

This won’t be the first time a Bollywood person and a cricketer have been spotted together. Rather these two industries in India have shared a very respectful relationship. Many cricketers have even married Bollywood actresses and are living a happy life.

However, that doesn’t mean that all relationships tend to work out. And Rishabh Pant’s case is one of them.

Urvashi Rautela mentions Rishabh Pant in her interview

He was seldom seen going out on lunch dates with Urvashi. But the news hit the flame when reports claimed Pant blocked her on his social media. Later it was revealed that it was a mutual decision taken by them.

After four years of suspense, Urvashi Rautela, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, opened up about that phase of her life. She revealed how there was a cricketer who used to wait for her in her hotel lobby to meet her.

Urvashi refused to name the player and referred to him as RP. And the cricketers’ fans were quick to pounce on it.

In the interview, Urvashi relayed one instance with Mr RP, who had come to see her in her Hotel. But the duo could not meet due to her hectic schedule, and later met in Mumbai. There she accused the media of swamping and ruining their budding relationship.

The interview, as anyone could guess, went viral. The duo once again became the talk of the town. That is when Rishabh Pant decided to break his silence over the topic by sharing a cryptic message.

Pant did not name anyone in the message he shared on his Instagram handle. But he mentioned that it was fake news circulated in the media. In the message, he wrote:

“It’s funny how people lie in interviews just for some meagre popularity and for hitting the headlines. Sad how some people are so thirsty for fame and name. May God bless them. #merapichachorhoBehen #jhutkibhilimithotihai,” as the two hashtags meant- leave me alone sister, and there is a limit to lying.
