PSG shows interest in Machester United’s Marcus Rashford; Ten Hag wants him to stay

PSG interested in signing Machester United's Marcus Rashford

According to widespread reports in the English media, Paris Saint Germain are studying the possibility to sign Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford. It is believed that they made an enquiry for the player in recent days and it came out that the Red Devils value the winger at an astronomical amount of 120 Million Euros which is double the valuation of the Ligue 1 side.

PSG considers this valuation outrageous. And they may not have submitted an official bid for him yet. But they have discussed things with Rashford and his agents to see and find a way if a deal could be possible. And it is also reported that United not willing to let the English International go. They are preparing to offer him a contract renewal despite.

PSG interested in Marcus Rashford

United have put a price tag on Rashford that is unattainable. And maybe even unrealistic considering the form that the winger has shown in the last year or 2. In all fairness, only 4-5 players in world football are actually worth 120 Million Euros and Marcus at the moment is definitely not a part of them.

Ten Hag has spoken out about these rumours and he has said that Rashford is in his plans and he is not looking to sell the winger. So now Ten Hag is looking to turn Rashford’s career around and if he can unleash him to the form that he had shown a few years ago, that would be hugely beneficial for the Premier League side as it would guarantee them 20-30 goal contributions from him every season and there is still time for the player to do it as he is still 24 years old.

Ten Hag unwilling to sell Rashford

But United need to make the decision about Rashford carefully cause if they renew him on a new deal and he hasn’t found his best form by that time then it could backfire on them as later he could not leave the club and earn the high amount of wages without being important to the team.

So they could sell him now for a decent fee and avoid losing the market value that he currently has and they could sign a better player like Antony from the money that they get from selling him. They could look at the example of Liverpool, they sold Coutinho to Barcelona for 180 Million Euros and with that money, they signed Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson Becker who are the most crucial part of Klopp’s team.

All in all, it would be interesting to see how this transfer saga develops.
