Pro Kabaddi: Bharat Hooda named as Best Raider of PKL9

Bharat Hooda, the young blood from Bengaluru Bullas has been named as the best raider of PKL9 for his prolific performance throughout the tournament.

After making his mark in the PKL8, Bharat Hooda entered the PKL9 with a lot of expectation on his back. And he has managed to live up to them with this amazing performance.

He was most important player for Bengaluru Bulls on the match. This is because he has the ability to change the game on its head. And he performed this miracle not once but several times during the season.

Bharat Hooda often would just go in with his casual nonchalant approach. This would throw defenders offguard, and then with his explosive strength and long levers, he would pluck points out of nowhere.

By the times opposition would know what hit them, Bharat Hooda would have inflicted a super raid. He was smooth, sleek and had a deft touch in escapes. Making him one of the most lethal raiders of the season.

Although he ended second on the list of raiders with most points in the season. Bharat had a total of 279 points to his name in comparison to Arjun Deshwal who had 296. But that doesn’t undermine the fact that Bharat was equally good, if not better.

Bharat Hooda carried his form from the league stages to the playoffs. He scored a hefty amount of 15 points in the Eliminator against Dabang Delhi. However, a rare off day at the office occurred in the semifinal and his team had to pay for that.

A seven-point match, which is still good by regular standards, couldn’t make the cut in the semifinals for Bharat. That is how much his team relies on him.

Bengaluru Bulls was knocked out of the tournament in the semifinals. But Bharat Hooda had done enough in the tournament to be adjudged as the best raider of PKL9 ahead of Arjun Deshwal and Narender Kandola.
