Paulo Dybala receives heart warming welcome by Roma fans; know contract details

The streets of Rome on Tuesday were jam-packed with people. As former Juventus forward, Paulo Dybala was presented to the Roma fans in a public event. And people of Rome turned out in volume to witness the unveiling of their future star.

It was a grand event that saw Dybala interact with the people of Rome.

Dybala turned into a renowned personality ever since he moved to Juventus from Palermo in 2015. He played seven seasons with the Italian giants and won 5 league titles and 4 Copa Italia trophies.

Dybala scored a mammoth amount of 115 goals for Juventus in 293 appearances. Still, the club decided to move on from the 28-year-old. And did not offer him a contract renewal.

That is when Jose Mourinho and his team, AS Roma, decided to make a move on the player. And bought him for free.

Paulo Dybala contract details

The player and club are said to have agreed to a 3-year deal, which will see Dybala play for AS Roma until 2025. He is said to receive around €6 million per year in salary.

Roma managed to give some tough competition in the Serie A competition. And went on to win the European Conference league. With the acquisition of Paulo Dybala, they hope to add more trophies to their cabinet.

The player is rearing to go. In a conversation with Reuters, he said, “At Juve, I earned experience; I’ll try to do my best in the locker room as well to help (the team) win and to always be positive during difficult moments.”

Dybala’s Juventus snub

Dybala also opened up about his Juventus exit. Originally according to the player, he was about to sign a contract in October last year. However, he disclosed that “then the club asked us to wait and in March told me that I have not been part of their future plans. The club took a different decision together with the coach.”

This has to be one of the most shocking snubbings of this transfer season. Dybala, who is only 28-year-old, has been shortlisted for Ballon d’Or on several occasions. So he definitely has that something that teams would like to build around.

But then Juventus has not been the same since Ronaldo’s departure in 2021. Hence perhaps they are trying to rebuild their squad from scratch as well.
