The transfer fee for one the most elite players during the Messi–Ronaldo era, being paid to Paris Saint-Germain by Al Hilal is all set to a huge record for the Saudi league who are dripping with the ‘oil money’.

Al Hilal are hoping to finally match their rivals, Al Nassr with this signature signing of Neymar. Al Nassr had previously signed the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo, which had begun the spree of Saudi transfers in the football world.

Al Hilal had earlier made offers to sign Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi, with equally ridiculous amount of transfer fee; however, they were not accepted.

Neymar leaves Paris Saint-Germain for Al Hilal

Despite having preferred to be returning to his former club Barcelona, Neymar and Paris Saint-Germain have agreed the previous week on leaving for Saudi.

However, Barcelona’s financial troubles with the Financial Fair Pay have prevented them from resigning of both the club legends who intended a return, Neymar and Lionel Messi, who ended up signing for the Major League Soccer club Inter Miami instead of joining the Saudi League.

Al Hilal is one of the four clubs of the Saudi Pro League, who have been nationalized by their sovereign wealth Public Investment Fund (PIF), who have under them assets worth about a mammoth USD700 billion.
