Manchester United’s Fred to Join Fenerbahce for £8.6 Million

Premier League club Manchester United’s Fred, the midifielder, has officially made a transfer to the Turkish Super Lig Club Fenerbahce as per the sources.

Fred leaves Manchester United for Fenerbahce

According to the reports, the Premier League giants are said to be parting ways with Fred as per their initial agreement of £8.6 million, and the insiders have stated that the Old Trafford is said be reinforced by a new midfield with another midfielder, Scott McTominay also being linked to an exit this summer.

Fred has been on a journey with the Red Devils for a long time now, ever since 2018 when he first joined them from Shakhtar Donetsk. Since then, he has made about 213 appearances for United across all competitions.

Manchester United sent a confirmation for this news as reported by the initial sources after Fred was spotted in Turkey this weekend. Another source has also claimed that as add-ons, £5m might be secured.

After the departure of Fred from the squad, Erik ten Hag might get desperate to acquire a good deal for his squad as Manchester United are being linked with Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.

McTominay linked with West Ham United

According to the reports, rival club West Ham United have apparently placed around £30 million for midfielder McTominay; however, the Old Trafford is reluctant about the bid and have rejected it. Only time will tell if West Ham still plan to come back with a better offer for the midfielder.

Trade has been quite a healthy affair at the Old Trafford this particular summer, as they have purchased Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund; while on the other hand, have also sold and released veterans like Anthony Elanga and Alex Telles have been sold, with David de Gea, Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe.

The deals and signings at the Red Devils’ center is expected to continue before the summer transfer window closes as the Hammers are still insistent on signing Harry Maguire.
