Manchester United to Sign Aboubakar from Al-Nassr after Ronaldo’s Departure

According to sources, the Ronaldo cannot play for Al-Nassr due to the reason that there is no vacancy for an overseas player in their team. The Arab club has eight more foreigners in their squad and are expected to drop one out to make space for the football legend.

One of the possible players who might be the victim of this misfortune or fortune is Vincent Aboubakar. Reports have flown in that Ronaldo’s former club, Manchester United are keen to sign the player as they have been looking for Ronaldo’s replacement.

According to the sources, the Red Devils are interested in signing the Cameroon international in the January window as they want to get a new striker to replace Ronaldo but also don’t want to empty their pocket of cash, making Aboubakar an ideal candidate.

This deal, which could either be in the form of loan or a permanent agreement, would be a much cheaper option for the Prem club in comparison to the other alternatives they were looking at, including Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix.

This would smoothen United’s situation with Cristiano after his highly controversial exit from the club before the World Cup.

The ex-Real Madrid legend had left the Old Trafford after doing a bombshell interview with Piers Morgan where he criticized the club and its officials. The forward had his contract terminated by mutual consent shortly after that.

In any case, Aboubakar is one of the most experienced and underrated strikers in the market with 145 goals within 348 games in his bag. Many of the goals are a result of his consistent performance in Europe and his delivery at international level, where he has scored 35 goals within 94 appearances for Cameroon.

He had also scored the winning goal for Cameroon against Brazil at the 2022 Qatar World Cup. However, some other players who are in the radar of getting laid off by the Arab club for Ronaldo are Pity Martinez (Argentina), Luiz Gustavo (Brazil), Alvaro Gonzalez (Spain), etc.
