Manchester United, who have been unable to make a mark for themselves in this transfer window, finally have something substantial to discuss. They have completed the transfer of Danish international Christian Eriksen from Brentford.
The Great Dane is known for his miraculous comeback to the sport after suffering a heart attack on the field. The incident took place only a year ago. And six months later, he was seen playing for the Premier League side Brentford.
With the English club and his national team, he has shown that the heart condition has not dampened his footballing abilities. And hence, as soon as his contract at Brentford ended, clubs were swarming around him.

According to reports by ESPN, the player has agreed to a three-year deal with United. During this stint with the club, he will receive £150,000 in weekly wages. And add-on bonuses as well.
Manchester United offloaded a star player like Paul Pogba, who failed to live to his name at the club. The 30-year-old Danish might not be a like-for-like replacement. As Pogba was more of a playmaker, and Eriksen is an attacking midfielder.
He will be an essential addition to the squad. Eriksen has proved his quality in the 237 Premier League games he played with Tottenham and Brentford.
