Manchester United Active Contract Extensions for Rashford, Shaw, Dalot, and Fred

Premier League giants, Manchester United have generated contract extensions for players Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Diogo Dalot, and Fred.

All four of these United players would be free to be in contact with clubs overseas after the start of January if no contract extensions were activated before the year ended, since their current contracts are set to expire in summer 2023.

David de Gea new contract at Manchester United

Old Trafford’s another noteworthy player, David de Gea is also in the line of contract expiry at the end of the current season. However, United seem to be in talks with the Spanish international for a fresh contract.

According to reports, the PL club wants the goalkeeper to sign a new contract with them, but on completely new terms, which includes a lower paycheck rather than a one year extension to the £375,000-a-week deal he signed with Old Trafford back in 2019.

De Gea has been at the Old Trafford for 11 years and running now, and has previously mentioned to the press that he would be open to reduction in wage if it meant to prolong and continue his stay in in the United camp.

Marcus Rashford contract extension at United

Marcus Rashford, 25; however, has regained his spectacular form after his FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign with the English national team.

Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint-Germain have expressed their feelings previously this month that they would be keen to sign Rashford on a free transfer in 2023 summer in case United doesn’t trigger a one-year extension for him.

Speaking to sources, PSG president Al-Khelaifi said that he was another who’s amazing and continued to add that,

“And for free? To have Rashford for free, every club would run after him, definitely.”

“We’re not hiding it; we spoke before and…interest. But the moment was not a good moment for both sides. Maybe summer, why not?

“Today if he’s a free agent of course we can talk to him directly but we are not going to talk to him now. Let him focus on the FIFA World Cup. Then after in January, hopefully, if we’re interested, we will talk to him.”

Dalot, 23, has hit reached new heights under Ten Hag after becoming United’s first choice right-back, while on the other hand, Shaw, 27, has managed to grip his position in the club’s starting elevan by beating other contenders.

Fred, 29, has started just four Premier League games till now this season before the break due to the World Cup, this is due to the summer arrivals of Christian Eriksen and Casemiro, yet remains an asset for the squad.
