As far as Germany are concerned, they wouldn’t have expected the series to be so painful for their supporters. The documentary will show how the team fell apart in the game against Japan when the European giants suffered a shock defeat in the first match of the World Cup. It will also showcase how the team reacted after that defeat and made a good performance against Spain. But the last part of the documentary would be absolutely dreadful for the Geman fans as it will show how even after beating Costa Rica, Hansi Flick’s side got knocked out of the tournament.

The series is set to start after the Germans previous group-stage elimination in Russia, with that England’s defeat at Wembley in the Euros also getting some attention. Die Mannschaft will become the third national side to make a series at a major tournament, after Brazil’s successful 2019 and Argentina’s 2021 Copa America campaign was made into a documentary.
