Dwayne Bravo Stats

Once more, Dwayne Bravo has succeeded. As the first player in the shortest format to take 600 wickets, he has cemented his place in T20 Cricket history.

In T20, Dwayne Bravo stats have broken all records as he claims the 600th wicket.

While competing in the Hundred for the Northern Superchargers, the outstanding all-rounder broke this record. Having taken 598 wickets going into the match, he claimed his 599th when he removed South Africa’s Rossouw. then secured his 600th wicket by castling Sam Curran, his former CSK partner. The second bowler on the list, with 466 wickets under his belt, is Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan.

Bravo has played for 25 teams since making his debut in the international arena against New Zealand in 2006. In 91 games, he has only taken 78 wickets for his country’s cricket team. The remaining 522 wickets were obtained in franchise cricket. 

During the first three seasons of the Indian Premier League, Dwayne Bravo was a member of the Mumbai Indians. During the 2011 IPL Auctions, the Chennai Super Kings selected him. Playing with the Chennai Super Kings, he was among the best players in the 2012 Indian Premier League, amassing 461 runs at an average of 57 and a strike rate of 178.

While playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the 2013 Indian Premier League, he too turned in a strong performance. He wrecked havoc by taking 32 wickets at an average of 9.15 to win the Purple Cap and surpass Albie Morkel as the team’s top wicket-taker. 

While playing for the Chennai Super Kings the stats of Dwayne Bravo were phenomenal. In 2015 Indian Premier League, he did well, claiming 26 wickets and claiming the purple cap for the second time. Among the two men who have won two purple caps is him.  Gujarat Lions acquired him during the Chennai Super Kings’ two-year suspension. Chennai Super Kings again kept him for 64.0 million later in the 2018 Indian Premier League. He was again kept by Chennai Super Kings for the 2019 Indian Premier League.

The Chennai Super Kings purchased Dwayne at the 2022 IPL Auction for ₹4.40 crores. He declared his retirement from the Indian Premier League on December 2, 2022, and was later appointed bowling coach of the same team in lieu of Lakshmipathy Balaji.There are still certain Dwayne Bravo stats that are astounding. For example, with 183 wickets, Bravo is the Indian Premier League’s top wicket taker. With 32 wickets in the 2013 league, he shares the record for most wickets in a single league edition. Harshal Patel later tied the record in 2021.By getting the most wickets in both 2013 and 2015, he became the first player to win the Purple Cap twice.

Dwayne Bravo stats have been consistent across different leagues. He wore the Trinbago Knight Riders’ colors in the Caribbean Premier League after returning home.
