David Beckham’s Son Romeo Joins Brentford B Team on Loan

Romeo Beckham, son of the iconic England captain David Beckham, has joined the Premier League club, Brentford’s B team while being on loan from Inter Miami for the remaining part of the season.

This move will be seeing the 20-year-old younger Beckham who plays as a midfielder aiding MacFarlane’s substitute squad as they will be playing more matches abroad along will their proceeding campaign for the Premier League Cup.

Beckham has an excellent CV of training with Arsenal’s academy when he was a child and had already spent his time in the past few months training with the new front to continue his fitness during the off-season spell in America.

Romeo Beckham contract details

He had announced his loan move via an Instagram post where he was alongside his father, holding a Brentford jersey at the training ground of the club.

Beckham stated that he was very proud and happy to be there since Brentford are a club on the rise very quickly, and that even though the fun season in the State was full of ups and downs, but he was excited to come to Europe and see what he could do.

He also mentioned how earlier he had come here to maintain fitness during off-season but when the chance presented, he grabbed it to come here on loan and that he had never been so excited before.

“They [MacFarlane and assistant coach Sam Saunders] have helped me massively over the last couple of months and I’m excited to see what else they can help me with to really progress in football,” Beckham said.

Brentford B team boss, MacFarlane had his own piece to say about the junior Beckham joining his side. He said that they were absolutely delighted with Romeo since he had arrived. He also said that Romeo had applied himself unbelievably well and that he had really bought into the culture and has become a big part of the group.

“I love his standards and the way he conducts himself on and off the pitch. He’s been able to get fitter and fitter during his time with us and it leaves him in a good place to now step forward having joined us on loan,” he added.
