It is now indeed confirmed that the German superstar Youssoufa Moukoko has signed a 2-year contract extension with the Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and this contract will run until 2026.

The 18-year-old has long been a target for several major European elites which includes the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, FC Barcelona, Chelsea and many more.

This interest in him happened after he became Germany’s youngest World Cup player when he appeared in the tournament in Qatar back in November and also due to his impressive performances with Dortmund.

Moukoko was set to become a free agent in the summer of 2023 and this is another reason why many clubs were interested in him, cause to sign a talent like him for free was an opportunity that doesn’t arrive frequently in the footballing world.

Moukoko is surely One for the future

After the announcement of his contract renewal, he said, “It is no secret that I feel well at Dortmund, I played youth football here, took my first steps in professional football and now I am ready to take the next step in my development together with the club.”

At just 18 years old, Moukoko has shown tremendous maturity as he has already cemented his place in the starting lineup for Dortmund, although he has not yet reached Haaland’s ridiculous numbers but he surely has surpassed expectations in Germany and across Europe.

Moukoko has managed to score six goals and has provided four assists in 14 games in the 2022-23 season. All in all, he is a player that has the potential to mark a legacy in world football and it would be interesting to see how his future develops.
