With the Indian team unveiling three distinct white ball squads and some seniors resting, numerous young players have expressed their annoyance at being overlooked.

Indian players react after not getting selected for New Zealand tour

Prithvi Shaw was more like our superstar, Rajinikanth “Late-a vanthalum latest-a varuven” (I will be the latest, even if I come late). He posted a picture of Sai Baba with the caption, “Hope you are watching everything Sai Baba.”

The players were rightfully enraged. In a series with three senior players rested, it was about time one of them played. In retrospect, Tripathi was with the squad but did not play in the South Africa series. Samson was ever present and was critiqued whenever there was a sequence. There is no better reason for the next generation to rise from the ashes than this.

Chetan Sharma, the head of selectors, has stated that the selection committee is in constant contact with Shaw and that he will get his chance in the coming days.

Nitish isn’t hesitant to post cryptic tweets, as he did after being left a series against South Africa.

“Things will change soon,” the lefthanded batsman tweeted, adding an India flag and an emoji of a target.

A bolt from the blue, the 32-year-old pacer, Sid Kaul, who played his last match in 2018, joined the bandwagon and posted a quote on Instagram.
