Vitor Roque could join Barcelona this summer if Ousmane Dembele leaves

Brazilian striker Vitor Roque could join Barcelona this summer if Ousmane Dembele leaves the club to join PSG in the coming days. Moreover, the Frenchman’s exit could pave the way for Barcelona to bring Roque this summer.

According to Catalunya Radio, Barca may consider this if Dembele does secure a move to Pairs Saint Germain.

Vitor Roque in, Ousmane Dembele out?

Ousmane Dembele never wanted his release clause to be paid. He always wanted Barca and PSG to negotiate a deal to maintain good relations with Barcelona. The winger can leave the club for around €40-50 million and that would free up around €25 million in FFP.

Dembele’s sale may generate a lot of space in the wage bill as he is one of the squad’s highest-paid players. Moreover, the new contracts and new arrivals will be registered.

The Blaugrana club secured the signing of Roque from Athletico Paranaense earlier this summer. A deal worth €30 million in fixed fee and another €31 million in variables, of which €5 million is related to Ballon d’Or clauses.

However, the club confirmed that the 18-year-old striker would only arrive at the club in 2024 due to the FFP issues.

Vitor Roque could join Barcelona this summer to strengthen their attack

The Catalan club is trying to find a solution that would enable them to advance the teenager’s joining. Dembele’s exit will help the club to sign him this summer.

Moreover, Roque who signed a contract until 2031 with Barcelona, has been in red-hot form in Brazil. He has scored 16 goals and has seven assists in 34 games in all competitions.

It is not confirmed if Barcelona will go for him or Bernardo Silva, who is Xavi’s favorite option to replace Dembele.
