Veteran Defender Sergio Ramos left out as Spain announce World Cup squad; know details

The FIFA World Cup is just around the corner as the biggest sporting competition in the world will begin on 20th November in Qatar. Hence, the national teams that have qualified for the tournament must submit their 26-man squad by this weekend and today the 2010 winners Spain announced their roster.

Sergio Ramos fails to make it to World Cup squad for Spain

This time Luis Enrique has been bold in his selections as there are some serious talents that he has not taken. The most astonishing name is the Spanish legend Sergio Ramos who won the trophy with his nation in 2010 and had already played in the Cup 4 times, but now he has been denied the opportunity to play for the final time.

This is mainly because Ramos is 36 and there are many good and young centre-backs playing for Spain. Hence, Luis wants to look at the future and develop his team accordingly. He has also left the likes of David De Gea, Thiago Alcantara and Gerard Moreno out of the roster. In spite of that, Spain still do have a good team that can potentially win the tournament.
