Sergio Busquets is ready to join MLS club Inter Miami after not extending his contract at Barcelona. He will leave the Catalan club after 18 years.
The veteran midfielder will join his former teammate Lionel Messi. He will sign a two-year deal with the club in the coming days.

Busquets announced last month that he will leave his boyhood club after 18 years. Along with him, Jordi Alba has also left Barcelona.
Moreover, when Barca played against Inter Miami at DRV PNK Stadium last summer, Busquets said in an interview that he was impressed by the training facilities. He also said, he is following MLS since his former teammate David Villa joined New York City in 2014.
The 35-year-old is considered as one of the best-holding midfielders of this generation. He has won 31 trophies and has played 719 games for Barcelona. With Barcelona, he has won three Champions League titles, three FIFA Club World Cups, eight La Liga championships and seven Copa Del Reys.

According to reports, Busquets also had big offers from Saudi Arabia and Qatar, but he has decided to join Inter Miami.

Jordi Alba, is also expected to join Inter Miami. It was said that Messi, Busquets and Alba decided to play for the same club after leaving Europe.

Inter Miami have offered Busquets a two-year contract until 2025, and will register as a designated player alongside Lionel Messi. The third spot of DP, will be filled by either Alba or Angel Di Maria.
