The FIFA World Cup is just around the corner as the biggest sporting competition on the world will begin on 20th November in Qatar. But this time the Cup is in the middle of the season due to Qatar’s extremely hot weather in summer and because of this many players are getting injured while playing for their clubs which has resulted in many of them missing this competition.
The likes of Reece James, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Lo Celso, Kyle Walker and the latest name to join the list is the captain of Senegal, Sadio Mane.
Sadio Mane suffers leg injury
The winger was substituted at the 20th minute in Bayern’s home match against Werder Bremen with an injury to his leg. He was replaced by the German forward Leroy Sane.
Mane did not go to the bench, but he went directly down the tunnel to take further tests on his injury cause at that moment of time the whole of Senegal feared him missing out on the World Cup.
It was very likely that Sadio could miss the tournament in Qatar, but 2 days later it was widely reported in the German media that Bayern Munch doesn’t rule Mane out of the World Cup just yet.
Hence, there is still hope for the player and the fans of Senegal that their captain might still represent their nation in Qatar. All in all, it would be interesting to see how the situation develops.
