Nicolo Zaniolo signs for Galatasaray, know details

The AS Roma superstar Nicolo Zaniolo has now officially completed a move to join the Turkish giants Galatasaray. The 23-year-old Italian has already flown to Istanbul and carried out his medicals with the Turkish team and now they will sign him on a four-and-a-half-year contract which is worth around 3.5 Million Euros per season.

It is widely reported in the Italian media that through this deal, Roma would receive around 16.5 Million as a guaranteed fee and another 13 Million as add-ons. Moreover, the Serie A side will hold a 20% sell-on clause on Zaniolo and will have the option to sign the top two Turkish sensations in the form of Yusuf Demir and Efe Akman.

Zaniolo officially joins Galatasaray

Zaniolo had arrived in Roma back in 2018 from Inter Milan and since his arrival due to the potential that he had, he was tipped off to be the next Totti. But his career at the Italian club did not go as planned cause due to successful ACL injuries, it stopped his growth and derailed his performances.

In 2021, he got back into the first tea and managed to make 57 appearances in all competitions. But he never truly gained the momentum of delivering good performances as in those games, he only scored 4 goals and gave 2 assists.

All in all, now he has the chance to redeem himself and If he manages to pull off some incredible performances during his time at Galatasaray, the big European clubs could certainly come back in the summer transfer window and sign him by paying his release clause of 35 Million Euros which isn’t exactly an astronomical value compared to today’s standards.
