N’Golo Kante to join Al-Ittihad from Chelsea; Know Contract details

N’Golo Kante to join Al-Ittihad from Chelsea after spending seven years at the North London club. The midfielder will leave Stamford Bridge this summer after failing to agree a new deal.

The midfielder will earn a whooping €100m per season, which includes image rights, commercial deals and ‘creative’ portfolio.

Kante was expected to sign a two-year contract with the Blues, but according to reports, Kante was “blown away” by Al-Ittihad’s proposal. He will complete a move in the next 48 hours.

He will join Karim Benzema at Al-Ittihad, who are coached by former Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

The French midfielder suffered a groin injury last season, playing just seven games for Chelsea. Al-Ittihad directors were in London to prepare Kante’s new contract.

The 32-year-old has already completed his medical tests in London, and a official announcement will be made from Al-Ittihad.

Chelsea signed Kante from Leicester City in 2016 for £32 million. He helped the Foxes win the Premier League title along with the help of Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and Kasper Schmeichel.

The World Cup winner helped Antonio Conte’s Chelsea to win the Premier League. As a defensive midfielder Kante played amazing for Chelsea in that season.

Many regarded him as one of the best defensive midfielders in the game and he rightfully was so.

He also won the World Cup in 2018 helping France to win their second ever World Cup. In 2021, he also put in a world class performance in the Champions League final against Guardiola’s Man City.

He has won a total of 8 trophies for club and country. The Frenchman will now head to Al-Ittihad for his unveiling as a new player, which brings the curtain down to a 7 year spell at Chelsea.
