Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez Signs One-Year Contract Extension

Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez has signed a brand new contract extension for one year, meaning that City will be keeping him tied up until 2028 at the club.

The World Cup Argentinian player has scored a total of 10 goals within 33 features for Manchester City ever since he moved last summer from River Plate.

The 23-year-old had an initial contract of five and a half years, however, the deal has apparently been “improved” by the club owning to his great performance for club and country.

Alvarez has apparently stated that Manchester City has offered him everything he has ever needed to reach his best.

Alvarez also flattered his own club by saying that for a club like City to be putting their faith in him was really amazing.

He also continued to say the he was really pleased with his first ever season with the sky blues, however, he had plenty more he could do and show and that he knew he could be better and City was the place which provided him everything he needed to fulfil his potential.

Alvarez had also shown glory in Argentina’s victorious campaign at 2022 Qatar World Cup and lifted the trophy with four goals to his name.

City director of football Txiki Begiristain spoke on the budding talent Alvarex, saying that Julian had impressed everyone at Manchester city with his technical ability, talent, dedication and attitude.

He continued to praise his special talent during the World Cup and stated that winning the trophy in his age was amazing and that everyone was very proud of what he had achieved.

“His progress so far has been really good, but we are now fully focused on developing his game even further, and turning him into one of the best strikers in world football,” stated Txiki about Alvarez conclusively.
