Erling Haaland scores hattrick as Manchester City rise from ruins against Crystal Palace to defeat them 4-2
Manchester City make a sensational second half comeback against Crystal palace as Pep’s side beat the eagles 4-2 , thanks to Erling haaland’s maiden hat-trick. Haaland puts on a show at the Eithad stadium to help Manchester City complete a comeback.
City were two nil down at half time as Patrick Viera’s side were acing towards a win against the defending champions. City’s win moves them to the top of the table joining Arsenal on 10 points. After last weeks disappointing result against Newcastle , City were looking dodgy against Viera’s side who have a really good record against them in the premier league. But after a clumsy first half ,man city’s players had put a proper shift in to win the tie.
Not an Ideal start for Manchester City
After the fourth minute an unfortunate John stones own goal had put crystal palace ahead and then the eagles doubled their advantage as Joachim Anderson leaping header had put them in pole position after a delicious ball from Eze which was a palace corner.
As soon as the second half began City started knocking the door for a first goal which came just after 8 minutes on the 53rd minute when Bernado Silva cut in from the right and took a shot which was deflected. Guardiola then made a double substitution as phil foden and the former Bundesliga star were subbed on. Both the youngsters played scintillating football which was pure poetry in motion. The young stars even combined for first goal on the 62nd minute.
Haaland scores maiden Premier League hattrick
Haaland’s substitution was game changing and acted as a catalyst for their win.The Norwegian is now the top scorer as he has bagged 6 goals in his 4 premier league appearances , he is a serious danger for the opposition in the box as he has 9 shots on target from a total 13 shots taken.
Haaland even averages 14 passes per match with a pass completion of 86% and has already bagged one assist. Haaland was even the finisher in the second man city team goal which had put them up front against the visiters .
The third city goal which was scored by the Norwegian was a cherry on the cake as he scored his first ever premier league hat-trick which was hopefully first of many.
Haaland’s maiden hat-trick gave crystal palace a huge blow as the fixtures ahead of them are not getting any easier .
