  1. KL Rahul 616 runs 

Leading from the front, KL Rahul was the most run scorer for Lucknow Super Giants. He is a prolific opener who ensured that his team had the best start there could be in most of the games. And in doing so, Rahul scored 616 runs in 15 games for his team. Hence ending the season as the top scorer for LSG in IPL.

Rahul scored a total of 4 fifties and 2 centuries in the season. And also maintained an average of 51 and a strike rate over 135. KL Rahul is one of those batters you can rely on every day of the week to deliver. Batting as his team’s opener, he always ensures that his team gets quick runs upfront. And if he gets his eyes in, he converts his start into something big.

There have been enough instances of KL Rahul blitzes in IPL. Such is the ferocity of Rahul’s inning that after playing just 4 seasons for Punjab Kings; he still is the most runs scorer for the franchise. Before this, he was also a pivotal part of the RCB team.

2. Quinton de Kock 508 runs

Quinton de Kock managed to score a total of 508 runs for his franchise in just 15 games. At an average of 36 and with a strike rate of 148, he was the second-most run scorer for Lucknow Super Giants. 

Like KL Rahul, de Kock has been a crucial part of the IPL over the years. He, too, has represented franchises like RCB and Mumbai Indians, where he smashed some great runs before moving to LSG. 

Now the Lucknow Super Giants will expect him to emerge as the top scorer for them in the upcoming seasons and take them to the glory of the IPL trophy as well. 

3. Deepak Hooda 451 runs

Deepak Hooda is one of the most exciting prospects in Indian cricket. Batting in the middle or lower middle order, the player is known for his great hitting abilities. He showcased his batting prowess in the previous edition of IPL to become the third most runs scorer for LSG in IPL.

Deepak Hooda represented Lucknow Super Giants in 15 games and scored 451 runs in them. That too at an average of 32 and a strike rate of 136 which is more than decent. He scored 4 fifties during the season, which allowed them to manoeuvre through the rough patches of the season.

Hooda started his career with Rajasthan Royals before he moved to Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, his breakthrough season came with Punjab Kings in 2021, where he scored great runs at an even greater average. But his potential was finally realized in LSG.

Most Wickets for Lucknow Super Giants Overview

  1. Avesh Khan 18 wickets

Known for pace and accuracy, it doesn’t surprise anyone that Avesh Khan emerged as the most wickets taker for Lucknow Super Giants in his inaugural season. 

Avesh Khan featured in just 13 games for his side and managed to claim 18 wickets in that. That, too, with an average of 23 and an economy of 8.72 which is excellent considering the fast pace of the tournament and format.

Avesh previously was the ace bowler for Delhi Capitals. And was roped in by the Lucknow Super Giants. In his previous season with Delhi, he managed to claim 24 wickets in just 16 games. And was the highest wicket taker for DC in IPL 2021.

Lucknow Super Giants will expect him to keep up the great work and emerge as the highest wicket take for them in the upcoming seasons.

2. Mohsin Khan 14 wickets

Another young pace bowling prodigy in LSG’s rank is Mohsin Khan, who has improved a lot over the years. As a result, he is the second-highest wicket-taker for LSG in IPL.

In his first IPL season, Mohsin played a total of 9 matches for his team and managed to claim 14 wickets in them. That too at an average of 14 and an economy of 5. He is definitely a keeper for the team and has the potential to make it big in the coming years.

Lucknow Super Giants won’t be surprised if the player eventually turns out to be the most wicket taker for them in the upcoming season of IPL.

3. Jason Holder 14 wickets

Lucknow Super Giants are fortunate to have seasoned campaigners like Jason Holder in their ranks. Hence it doesn’t come as a surprise that he is the third most wickets taker for LSG in IPL.

The player represented the franchise in a total of 12 games and managed to claim 14 wickets in Them at an economy of 9.42. He was very canny with the ball in hand and managed to ball in death overs, where bowlers are usually taken with a long handle.

However, Jason Holder will not continue with the side this season. He put his name in the pool ahead of the IPL 2023 auction from there, he was picked up by Rajasthan Royals. Now the player will be representing them in the upcoming season.
