Kane Breaks Jimmy Greaves Goal Record of 267 goals for Tottenham; Becomes third player to net 200 EPL Goals

Tottenham Hotspur icon, Harry Kane has overtaken Jimmy Greaves to become the record goalscorer for Tottenham earlier in their match against Manchester City. Harry Kane also becomes only the third player to score 200 goals in the Premier League with this record shot.

The captain of the England team netted a stunner against Pep Guardiola’s front and scored his rcord 267th goal for the Spurs across all competitions and have now moved ahead of Greaves. Earlier he had equalized Greaves with his goal against Fulham.

Harry Kane also becomes the fastest to score a total 200 Premier League goals, achieving this record only within 304 games, two lesser than Alan Shearer.

The 29-year-old scored for Spurs in mere 15 minutes into the match and shattered the record giving Tottenham a much-needed early lead against City. The Three Lions captain shot the ball past Ederson with a calm finish.

Harry Kane scores 200th EPL goal, only third player to do so

Harry Kane has broken this legendary record after 12 and a half years of making debut in a club under Harry Redknapp. Kane made his very first Premier League debut in April of 2014 after which he scored his maiden goal in Prem against Sunderland, completing 200 today.

Kane’s debut goal for Tottenham Hotspur came few years ago after he netted the ball against Shamrock Rivers in the tournament of Europa League in 2011 December. However, not everyone believed that Kane would go on to become a icon for both country and club, and lead his country as a captain.

However, he successfully got rid of his tag “one-season wonder” and has now established himself as one of the greatest players England has produced.

Harry Kane is also the joint-record goal scorer with Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney and has scored a career best of 41 goals across all international competitions. Kane has also pocketed three Premier League Golden Boots throughout his career.
