IND vs BAN 1st Test: India on front foot as Kuldeep Yadav ruled the Day with bat and ball
Chattogram, Bangladesh: Day 2 of the IND vs BAN 1st Test saw the best of India’s Kuldeep Yadav. Be it with the bat or ball, Yadav showed an excellent virtue of patience and commitment. With this phenomenal performance, the day finished with Shakib al Hasan-led Bangladesh trailing by 271 runs with 2 wickets in hand.
India came into Day 2 with six wickets down with Shreyas Iyer and R. Ashwin still at the crease. After losing Iyer early in the day, KL Rahul-led India seemed to be in great trouble. However, Ashwin and Kuldeep kept their calm and stitched a 92-run stand for the 8th wicket. Leading India to a total of 404 runs in their first innings. Both of them scored 58 and 40 runs respectively.
Moreover, with the ball, Mohammad Siraj set the stage for India with a wicket on the very first ball of the second innings. With another wicket falling in quick succession Bangladesh was already on their back foot. However, the real bowling show began post Tea. Kuldeep Yadav again with an extraordinary spell of 4 for 33 in 10 overs completely bamboozled the hosts.

The Man of the Moment, Kuldeep Yadav expressed his nervousness at the start of the second innings. And how we converted it right in time. Using the tricky pitch wasn’t an easy task for the bowlers either, however, in the end the score on board shows the precision of Indian spinners. Yadav added that he just tried to be quicker and he is just going with the flow. Says that the first over was quite difficult but the end ones were really good and he didn’t feel any discomfort during batting. Ends by saying that it’s a good pitch and he will give his best.
