Can Fermin Lopez be the next big thing for Barca?

After Pedri suffered a hamstring injury in training, Xavi may decide to rely on Lopez. Moreover, he will also get more gametime now Pedri is out of action.

Furthermore, just like Gavi, Ronald Araujo, Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde, Fermin Lopez may be the next La Masia star who may have his breakout season this year.

Given his potential and progression Barca decided to give him a new deal. His existing deal, was about to expire in 2024.

It will be fascinating to see how Lopez grows under Xavi and how many minutes he can secure under his belt this season.
