Fenerbahce sign Edin Dzeko on a free transfer, the striker will start a new chapter after ending his stint with Inter.
The Turkish club will sign him on a two-year deal. He will earn around €4 million net plus add-ons with a sign-in bonus. This move will help Dzeko to stay in Europe for two more years.
Dzeko rejects new Inter contract
Fenerbahce will compete in the Europa Conference League qualifiers to secure a group place birth. Inter offered the Bosnian a new one-year contract, but he rejected the contract, as he was asked to take a pay cut.
His contract with Inter will expire this month, and he will now seek a new challenge with the Turkish club. He scored 14 goals and provided five assists for the Nerazzurri in the 2022/23 season across all competitions.
“To inform. World-famous striker Edin Dzeko will come to Istanbul to pass the health checks and complete the transfer negotiations. We present it to the public,” announced Fenerbahce on social media.

The 37-year-old signed for Inter in 2021 for €2.8m from AS Roma. He played an important role after Lukaku departed for Simone Inzaghi’s side. The striker has scored 31 goals in 101 appearances for the club.
The ex-Man City striker didn’t have a good ending with Inter as they lost the Champions League final to Manchester City.
Edin Dzeko ends his spell in Italy
Moreover, Dzeko concludes his time in Italy after eight years with 361 appearances, 147 goals and 69 assists for AS Roma and Inter. Fenerbahce announced the signing earlier today with Dzeko ready to undergo his medical in Turkey.
The striker’s time in Inter saw him lift two Italian Super Cups and two Italian Cups. He is also a four-time winner of the Player of the Year award in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Throughout his career, Dzeko has scored 323 goals and assisted 145 in 738 matches.
