Fabinho’s transfer to Al-Ittihad in jeopardy because of his dogs

Fabinho’s £40 million move from Liverpool to Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad has apparently been thrown into jeopardy.

Bizarre reason why Fabinho can’t make a move to Saudi Arabia

The Brazilian has two French bulldogs and the deal is currently on hold due to rules in Saudi Arabia banning “dangerous and aggressive dogs” from the nation.

Moreover, certain dogs are only allowed to enter the country if they are being used for hunting, serve as a guard dog or if they are seeing dogs for the blind.

Fabinho is desperate to become one of the new players to join the Saudi Pro League. His transfer could collapse due to this unusual issue. The midfielder is now seeking clarity whether he can take his dogs before signing a contract.

Liverpool are in the middle of a major midfield rebuild being orchestrated by manager Jurgen Klopp. The ex-Borussia Dortmund boss allowed Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner to depart as free agents to create space for new signings.

Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have already signed for the Reds.

Bayern Munich to hijack Fabinho deal?

The Bundesliga champions are closely monitoring the situation. Moreover, Fabinho will have no problems related to dogs if he moves to Bayern.

Bayern are looking to sign Premier League players to reinforce their team this summer. Kyle Walker is still on their list, along with striker Harry Kane.

Fabinho ready to leave Liverpool after five years

Fabinho joined Liverpool from Monaco in 2018 in a £43.7 million deal. He went on to lift: the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Super Cup under Jurgen Klopp.

His midfield compatriot Jorden Henderson is also on the brink of moving away from Anfield. The Reds have shortlisted Romeo Lavia and Cheick Doucoure.

However, both players have a high value, and Liverpool are not willing to pay that amount.
