Dinesh Karthik pens emotional message for RCB supporters following his World Call Cup
Dinesh Karthik has made a remarkable comeback to the Indian world cup squad. And he has given credit to the unrelenting support of the RCB fans.
Earlier this year RCB picked Dinesh Karthik in their squad, and this move surprised everyone. Many cricketing pundits considered Dinesh Karthik, a finished cricketer.
But the veteran Wicketkeeper batter proved everyone wrong with his remarkable season in the 2022 edition of IPL. He featured in 16 games this season and made 330 runs in them at an average of 55 and a strike rate of 180+.

Everyone was flabbergasted by his performance, which meant that an international call-up was just around the corner. And when the international call came, Karthik continued his excellent form, earning him a place in the World Cup side.
Following his call-up, Dinesh Karthik couldn’t hold himself from thanking the immense support he got from his IPL franchise.
He shared an emotional note on Twitter in which he said, “Thanks @RCBTweets for bein an integral part of the journey and helping me achieve my dream Most importantly to all the RCB fans who chant RCB,RCB even when am in my blues representing team INDIA , I LOVE YOU GUYS.”

Indeed, if RCB had not shown faith in him, he wouldn’t have gotten a call up. And might have once again ended up without finding his name on the team sheet for World Cup.
However, as things stand, Karthik is included in the squad announced for the world cup. He is one of the oldest players on the team. Karthik made his debut back in 2006 against South Africa. No other player from the Indian team that is featured is playing international cricket.
In his 16-year-long career, Dinesh Karthik has played 50 T20Is and has scored 592 runs in them at a strike rate of nearly 140. He has shown the world that his finishing abilities have not diminished. And the Indian fans will be expecting him to deliver on the big stage.
