India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja suffered a terrible knee injury during the ongoing Asia Cup. He had to undergo surgery for the same and is likely to miss the upcoming world cup because of it now.

Hence, BCCI is not at all happy with the player. Especially after knowing how Jadeja got injured, nobody would be.

Ravindra Jadeja suffered knee injury while enjoying water sports

According to various reports on the internet, Jadeja suffered a knee injury while enjoying adventure sports with his teammates. The player is said to have slid from a water ski and sustained the injury.

Following this, he was ruled out of the Asia Cup, in which India suffered a shocking Super 4 exit.

After this, the BCCI has come out all gun blazing. They have issued a rather harsh statement regarding the injury: “We are not happy with Jadeja’s injury. He should have kept the World Cup in mind while doing adventurous activities. But he was not responsible and did not think that the World Cup is on the way. We are not happy with this action of Jadeja.”

Jadeja’s knee surgery took place on Tuesday and was successful. The player even posted regarding the same on his social media. “The surgery was successful. There are many people to thank for their support and involvement – BCCI, my teammates, support staff, physios, doctors and the fans. I will start my rehab soon and try to get back to soon as I can. Thank you to everyone for your kind wishes,” said Jadeja in a post.

Ravindra Jadeja has been an essential asset for India this year in T20Is. He has played 9 games so far, scored 201 runs in them at an average of 50.25 and has taken 5 wickets in them.

Therefore, his being ruled out by an avoidable injury is fuming BCCI. He is one asset India would not like to miss in Australia. As things stand, Jadeja is highly unlikely to feature in the upcoming World Cup.
