Bayern Munich sign Daley Blind from Ajax; know contract details

According to widespread reports in the German media, Ajax legend Daley Blind has agreed on a deal with the German giants Bayern Munich in which he’ll join them on a free transfer in January. The 32-year-old central defender is already on his way to Germany, where he will likely undergo a medical test and then sign a contract. It is reported that he will sign a contract until the end of the season with the option to extend it for another year.

The Holland international has since been linked with numerous clubs since he forced to terminate his contract with the Dutch side 6 months earlier than he became a free agent, but now it appears that the defender has found his new side in the form of Bayern Munich.

The addition of an experienced player in the form of Blind will surely help coach Julian Nagelsmann to manage his roster more easily, as he could be crucial in the latter half of the season when games come thick and fast.

A new journey for Daley Blind

And now that the deal is most likely completed the defender will hope to add the Bundesliga, DFB Pokal and Champions League to his trophy cabinet in a very good Bayern team as coming into all of these tournaments, they are surely one of the favourites. And there is no doubt that is one of the best defenders in the world cause it was even seen at this year’s FIFA World Cup when he was a crucial player in the starting lineup.
