Bayer Munich signs Joao Cancelo on a surprising Loan move from Manchester City, know details

After Leroy Sane, Joao Cancelo becomes the latest player to make a switch from Manchester City to Bayern Munich. This move has come out of the blues and has taken the Footballing world by storm.

The Portuguese would join them on loan until the end of the season and apart from that, Bayern would be having the option to buy for a fee of around 70 Million Euros.

Joao Cancelo to join Bayern Munich on loan

This move has mainly happened due to some uncertainties that recently occurred between the right back and City’s coach Pep Guardiola as Cancelo was unhappy with his game time.

It was noticeable that Cancelo had fallen down the pecking order since the restart of the league after the World cup as he has started only 3 games for the Manchester-based team, two of which resulted in losses against United and Southhampton. Something that is very unprecedented for Manchester City.

Hence, there is no doubt at Cancelo indeed has the ability to mark a legacy at Bayern as he has already won 2 PL titles with City and since joining them back in 2019 from Juventus, he has played about 154 matches and while doing that, he has scored 9 times and provided 22 assists. However, now the youngsters like Nathan Ake and Rico Lewis have shown good performances to take his place.

A revolutionary move for Cancelo

He has also been developed as one of the best right back’s in the world. Now, he could finally be the answer for Bayern’s right-back problem as both Benjamin Pavard and Noussair Mazroui have failed to establish themselves in the starting lineups.

However, now with the arrival of Cancelo, the German giants would have the best full-backs in the world in the form of Alphonso Davies and Joao. All in all, Bayern have absolutely nailed the January transfer market by one of the biggest last-minute signings and the Portuguese certainly can turn around Bayern’s season and he could also decide the result against PSG in the round of 16 in the Champions League.
