Al Hilal want Atletico Madrid striker Joao Felix on 1-year loan

Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal want Joao Felix on a 1-year loan deal. The Portuguese striker wants to leave Atletico Madrid to revive his career.

Felix tried to leave Atletico on a permanent transfer in January but only secured a loan move to Chelsea. Moreover, his performances were below par level for the Blues.

Moreover, the ex-Benfica striker had a fallout with Los Rojiblancos manager Diego Simeone last season.

Al Hilal join Barcelona and PSG in pursuit of Joao Felix

The 23-year-old has interest from several clubs in Europe. Barcelona and PSG are the favourites to land him this summer. However, if they don’t sign him, he also has an option to play in the Saudi Pro League.

Moreover, last month, Felix expressed his desire to play for Barcelona and said: “I’d love to play for Barça someday. Barcelona has always been my first choice, and I’d love to join Barca. It was always my dream since I was a kid. If it happens, it will truly be a dream come true for me.”

After listening to his statements, Atletico Madrid were not happy that he was openly admitting to join their rivals in the future.

Saudi side Al Hilal ready to sign Joao Felix on loan

Al Hilal wanted to sign Felix on a permanent transfer, but he is very young and won’t move to the SPL at this age. So, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Saudi side is prepared to offer 1-year loan for him.

Al Hilal manager Jorge Jesus called Joao Felix several times to convince him to join them. Now, it all depends on Felix whether he wants a move to Saudi or wait for other clubs in Europe to approach him.

The Los Rojiblancos want at least €120 million for the Portuguese from Al Hilal, and it looks like they are prepared to pay the sum for Felix.

Since joining Atletico from Benfica for close to €126 million in 2019, he has helped them lift a La Liga title. Moreover, he has scored 34 goals and provided 18 assists in 131 appearances for his team so far.
