“You Let Your Country Down”: Harry Kane Savagely Mocked by Brentford Fans

The ruthless Brentford fans were mercilessly heard shouting and screaming “you let your country down” towards Harry Kane during Tottenham’s Premier League clash.

The captain of the England national team was cruelly mocked by the fans during the match taking place on the Gtech Community Stadium after the resuming of the Premier League this Monday.

Harry Kane mocked during Tottenham vs Brentford game

This has resulted due to the 29-year-old Kane missing a very crucial penalty, which could have been a decisive goal for England. This had led to the English front facing a crushing defeat against the 2018 world champions, France in 2022 Qatar World cup.

Kane had sent the ball floating toward Mars after he took a miscalculated spot-kick, owing to which the Three Lions were kicked out of the tournament in the quarterfinals.

As was expected, Harry Kane was targeted by the ruthless Brentford supporters within minutes of returning to play for his club side. The made chants of “you let your country down” repeatedly in a savage act of hate towards the forward.

These Brentford fans did not spare the other player either after they were also heard cursing and shouting “you’re just a sh*t Ivan Toney” to the Spurs player.

However, the England captain was as professional as ever by not letting any of the ruckus affect current match performance. He scored the first goal for Spurs in what would be a 2-2 draw against Brentford.

Trailing 2-0 after the hour mark, Kane scored a venomous header to bring his side back in the game, while Hojberg leveled the score in 71st minute.

Before the match against Brentford, Antonio Conte, Spurs manager had spoken on Kane’s state of mind, he said,

“We are talking about a world-class striker, I am not worried about it..Football is this: you can have an exciting moment and also have a moment when you are disappointed.”

“He missed the second penalty, but he scored the first. When I was a player, I never missed a penalty because I didn’t [take a] kick…I was a real disaster.”
