Cristiano Ronaldo could still be chosen to be awarded the Carabao Cup winners’ medal by Manchester United after their victory in the Wembley, if they choose so.

Erik Ten Hag is to be credited for half the success of the Red Devils this season; ever since his appointment, his impact on the squad has been immaculate despite causing discomfort amongst fans in the aftermath of Cristiano Ronaldo’s controversial departure from the club.
Cristiano Ronaldo did not play in any six matches of the Carabao Cup as Erik ten Hag decided not to use the Portuguese legend. However, that would not restrict Ronaldo from receiving a winners medal.
Will Ronaldo get Carabao Cup winner medal?
Ronaldo is still eligible for medal in case the Red Devils wanted to award him with one. He has already won it twice during his first run with Manchester United and a third could be on its way as the EFL rules clearly state so.
The EFL rule states that in addition to the Cup, the management committee will be presenting the winning Club with thirty souvenirs after the Final tie. It also states that additional souvenirs might be present with the consent of the committee, but it will only be at the cost of requesting club.
However, the Red Devils will have no need of requesting additional medals from the management committee in case they wanted Ronaldo to be awarded with one, since they have only 27 players who had represented the club in the tournament.
